<description>In episode 216, Tim Chiarolanza former S&amp;amp;C Coach and major trauma survivor, joins us.
Specifically we will be looking at:
How diet and sleep improved his rehabilitation
The importance of exercise science in rehabilitation
What athletes can learn from his journey
About Tim :
"Tim Chiarolanza is a major trauma survivor. After spending over a decade working to achieve his dream job, including two stints working in professional baseball as a minor league strength and conditioning coach, he was named the head of strength and conditioning at his Alma mater, Lycoming College. He spent about six weeks in the position before he was accidentally struck by a car on November 16, 2021 while chasing after his dog, whose leash had broken during a walk. He suffered life-threatening injuries, including a ruptured aorta in his heart. He has a traumatic brain injury that did not show up until three days following the accident. He was Life Flighted to Geisinger Medical Center, where he was given a 1% chance of survival. Following his time in the ICU at the hospital, he was transferred to Bryn Mawr Hospital for inpatient rehab. He was released from inpatient rehab at the end of January 2022. He currently lives in Doylestown, Pennsylvania with his wife and their dog, Finn, who was uninjured running into the street. He is currently starting a non-profit called Triumph In Recovery which assists people who have traumatic brain injuries, which Tim still suffers from due to his accident, trauma survivors, and stroke survivors. He is also writing a book, a peer mentor for brain injury patients at his rehab hospital, and working to begin a speaking career because he wants to help as many people as possible with his survival.

<description>In our first episode, coach, best-selling author, keynote speaker and high-performance consultant Brett Bartholomew joins us.
Specifically Brett will be looking at:
• Whether we isolate ourselves from other industries
• What we can learn from other industries
• What other industries can learn from us
• What the future holds for interaction between industries
About Brett:
"I am a strength coach, author, speaker and entrepreneur. Long story short I’ve been a strength coach for over 15 years, I’ve worked with athletes of all ages, predominantly NFL, military, fighters, baseball, but had just as much fun working with high school kids and youth as well. I wrote a book in 2017 called Conscious Coaching, and by the grace of god it took off and became an Amazon international bestseller. That launched into a lot of the work that I’m doing now with corporations and teams, specifically on building buy in or solving people problems. A lot of what I do now aside from coaching is helping people with organisational leadership. How to get people out of their own way, ego, agendas, biases, Machiavellian games, and things like that that go on in elite organisations. Whether that be a sport team or fortune 500 business. I go in and help them solve those problems. I’ve always be fascinated by people. It’s a rabbit hole I go down early and often. Its part of my PhD program, so that’s the gist of it."
